Inter-Mountain Espresso Repair is a small team of espresso machine technicians based in Missoula, Montana. We focus on commercial repair, preventative maintenance, installation, and equipment sales across Western Montana, with prosumer and vintage work as the schedule allows.
We answer the phone, run the diagnostic, do the repair, and write the invoice. There is no service manager and there is no triage queue. If the bar is down, the call gets routed to a tech who can talk through it.
Commercial work runs first. Bench rebuilds and vintage restoration happen at the Missoula workshop. Prosumer and residential service is welcome when the commercial schedule has room.
Most of what we see is gasket and group head wear, scale damage from improperly speced water, and the inevitable failed solenoid or OPV. We carry common consumables on the truck and order specialty parts the same day. We do not service single-serve, capsule, or drip coffee equipment.
We name our brands. We name our pricing windows. We tell you what is realistic, not what sounds good. If the work is outside what we can do well, we say so and recommend someone else.
What is on the bench.
The Missoula workshop is set up for full mechanical rebuilds, not just parts swaps. Proper test gear, parts inventory for the common consumables, and bench space for vintage restoration work.
