Inter-Mountain
Maintenance

Preventative maintenance. Catch it before the morning rush does.

Inter-Mountain runs scheduled preventative maintenance programs for commercial espresso machines across Missoula and Western Montana. A standard PM covers group gaskets and shower screens, detergent backflush, water filtration check, OPV calibration, steam tip service, and group rebuilds where needed.

Scope

What is included.

  • Scheduled PM programs (commonly every 90 days for busy cafés)
  • Group gasket and shower screen replacement
  • Detergent backflush of every group
  • Water filter cartridge swap and softener regen check
  • OPV calibration to spec
  • Steam valve and tip service
  • Boiler inspection and level probe service
  • Electrical safety check
Process

How the work runs.

  1. 1

    Set the cadence

Volume, water hardness, and machine type determine how often the machine needs to be on the bench. Busier bars need more frequent PMs. We will recommend a real cadence after the first visit.

  2. 2

    On-site service

Standard PM is typically a few hours. We work during slow periods, before opening, or after close. Your call.

  3. 3

    Service log

Every visit produces a written log of what was done and what was replaced. The log builds a real service history on the machine and counts as proof of upkeep for OEM warranty.

Who it is for

Any café running daily volume. Roastery training labs. Restaurants with espresso programs. Higher-volume bars (50+ drinks a day per group) generally need a 90-day cadence.

Pricing

PM is quoted per machine and per cadence. Annual programs include priority scheduling for breakdowns. Call for current rates.

FAQ

Common questions.

How often should a commercial machine be PM'd? +

Volume dependent. A busy two-group is generally on a 90-day cadence. Higher-volume bars closer to 60 days. Lower-volume programs every six months.

What is included in a "deep clean"? +

We avoid that phrase. A real PM is: group gaskets, shower screens, dispersion screens, full detergent backflush, OPV check, steam wand teardown, water filter check, and a group rebuild on any group that needs it.

Does PM void my OEM warranty? +

No. Most manufacturer warranties require documented preventative maintenance. Our service logs are accepted as proof of upkeep.

You did not mention descaling. Why? +

If your machine is on a properly speced water filter with the softener regenerated on schedule, you should rarely need a descale. If we are descaling commercial machines often, the water is wrong. We address the water, not the symptom.
